The Southwest Ohio GMRS Association is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization to promote and provide recreational, educational, scientific, and emergency communication equipment and services to the greater Cincinnati Ohio area with the primary purpose of helping to ensure the availability of emergency communication links between general mobile radio service radio operators and government emergency management offices and other governmental agencies as may be required in the event of a declared emergency, drill or other event.
The network is comprised of repeaters that are individually owned by the licensee. The owner has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the organization that clearly defines the responsibilities of each party.
